Her Story

Rosie Rodríguez is a British-Mexican singer-songwriter and violinist. She studies jazz singing and violin at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where she has distinguished herself competitively. She has performed in venues all across the UK, including Karma Studios Soho (for SEB Collective), Fabwicks (for Accelerando Records), Temple of Art and Music (for Junior Open Mic), Cadogan Hall, Conway Hall, The Sondheim Theatre, and SNCF Festival (for Undiscovered Talent UK), among many others. She was also cast in National Youth Music Theatre's '26 season of West Side Story at Birmingham Hippodrome, and is featured in the cast recording of Lady Macbeth, a new West End musical.

She is currently through to the second round of Tour Music Fest, the final of UK Talent Fusion, and the semi-final of the UTUK International Talent Competition — and is in the process of applying for BGT, West End Calling, the International Songwriting Competition, and The Voice. She is also passionate about charity work, having busked for Young Minds and taken part in multiple charity concerts, most notably "Rising Voices" for War Child at the Temple of Art and Music.

She will be releasing her first EP, Running Through the Dark, in October — an emotional rollercoaster that subverts stereotypes, taking the listener on a journey through multiple genres, including jazz, R&B and pop.

Her talents don't stop there, however. Rosie achieved high distinctions in her Bronze, Silver, and Gold LAMDA acting exams, as well as distinctions in Grades 1–8 RAD ballet, and flying colours from Intermediate Foundation through Advanced 2 RAD vocational ballet. She is also a squads swimmer, having achieved Level 10. Finally, she is a post-Grade 8 violinist (with high distinction), having played the Saint-Saëns violin concerto in competition at RCMJD, achieving a Highly Commended.
